My Weekend

Well according to Jenny it is now time to update.

Saturday some of the UBC choir and orchestra was able to enjoy a beautiful day at Turkey Run. I have never been there before, so I was excited to go. We left the school around 8:30. Had to stop on the side of the road and wait for the van. Finally we made it to Turkey Run. The only thing that I didn't like about this place was, every where you went there was gnats. Our first item on agenda was going canoeing. I have only done this once and it was when I was in elementry school. My canoeing partner had only done it once long time ago as well. So this was going to be an interesting trip. We were doing ok until we couldn't figure out how to turn fast and we ran into another boat. We did fine, no tipping over, until we ran into the imbankment. That is when our boat decided to tip. It was actually fun. Some guys that weren't in our group came over to help us. It is pretty sad when no one from our school decides to help. While my partner and I were waiting on the guy to flip over our boat, a couple from our school finally decided to come over and help. Thanks! After about an hour of canoeing it was over. So we all waited on everyone to get back so we could go to the park and eat. I decided to change first since I was soaked. I went and ate and was one of the last ones to finish. One of my best guy friends and I decided to go hiking. We didn't really want to go far, but what turned into not wanting to go very far turned into and hour of hiking. We both enjoyed it. We sent and seen a water fall, I sorta fell in the mud, then we finally made it back to "camp". My feet were really starting to hurt because of all the rocks. I was walking barefoot because I didn't want to get my shoes all muddy. Some of the guys decided to play with their air soft guns, then they all decided to play a baseball game of 500. While they were doing that us girls decided to get a tan and me a burn.

Sunday we went to my grandparents house for mother's day. I slept most of the way there, most of the time we were at their house, and most of the way home. I was tired from my long Saturday.

Update From Yesterday

As many of you know (that read my boring blog), yesterday was National Day of Prayer. It was very interesting. It was so winding! When the wind went through the microphones it sounded like thunder, when the wind blew it blew into my flute so it was hard to play, Bro Glick's stand kept falling to the ground, and our music kept blowing away. But God really helped us through it. Also thanks Jackie for coming even though you were there like a half our early. Sorry about that.
